I don't know who was more nervous. :)
January 26, 2008 will definately be a night I will remember for a very long time. Over 120 people came out to celebrate my coronation with me, nearly every single person in McDermitt was there. I can't tell you how touched I was as one by one they all filed into the community hall, smiles on thier faces and donations in hand. A few MRO members were there as well, I know what a long drive it was for them and I truly appreciate them being here. Angie, Tanya, Diane, and Charlene you have now been where few people have been before, congrats on surviving! TMRO Ashely Ekstrom and her mother made the trip as well as 2007 JMRO Stephanie Esterly and her family. I have said this before but I will say it again having Stephanie crown me really made this journey come full circle as we competed against each other in the very first Teen and Junior Pageant and it was she who beat me last year.
The food and decorations were incredible thanks to my mom who worked for months planning and preparing for it. My chaps came the day of coronation too. WOW, that is all I can say! I love, love, love them.
A whole lot of money was raised which will help me this coming year and sponsorships are still coming in.
Thanks to everyone who made my coronation special.
Until Next Time!
